DIRECT SALES WORKING GROUP – FILLED
Starting in 2022, B.C. plans to allow retailers to purchase cannabis product directly from local farmers and processors. In response to significant support for direct sales in our recent Member & Supporter Survey, we’re establishing a Direct Sales Working Group in collaboration with the Association of Canadian Cannabis Retailers (ACCRES).
Our goal is simple. To convince B.C. they should start the program this year, instead. There are only 41 licensed micro farmers and processors across the province, but there could be so many more. The province’s plan should be implemented sooner and we need help from micro-class, processing, and nursery license holders.
You are invited to join our Direct Sales Working Group to inform our discussions with the B.C. government. Send an email to assistantsecretary@bccraftfarmerscoop.com with the subject line ‘DIRECT SALES’ to join the Working Group.
BC CRAFT CANNABIS CLUB – FILLED
On April 20, BCCFC expanded our Supporter category to include consumers. The BC Craft Cannabis Club has been established to provide craft cannabis consumers with an opportunity to join our movement to transition BC’s legendary farmers to Canada’s legal market. Together we will finally get high quality, local cannabis products on the shelves of independent retail stores across B.C. The annual membership fee is $25.00. Click the button below to join the Club today.
To support the Club, we are seeking help to manage and promote its growth over the coming months. If you have 5-10 hours per week over the next couple of months, email assistantsecretary@bccraftfarmerscoop.com with the subject line ‘CLUB’. Specifically, we are seeking members, supporters and/or your key contacts that have some demonstrated administrative, technology and communication experience.
WORKPLACE SAFETY ROUNDTABLE
Earlier this month, we announced that the Co-op has received funding from WorkSafe BC to develop a health and safety plan for our province’s craft cannabis sector. This is an exciting opportunity that will benefit our members for years to come. If you have experience in workplace safety standards and want to be part of this exciting project, we need your help!
In collaboration with the BCCFC Quality Committee, we are establishing a Workplace Safety Roundtable to guide the development of the project over the coming year. If you would like to participate in the roundtable and volunteer a few hours of your time per month, please email assistantsecretary@bccraftfarmerscoop.com with the subject line ‘SAFETY’.
