The federal government is offering $304 million in loans to western Canadian businesses unable to access other government aid to deal with the COVID-19 crisis.

Mélanie Joly, minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada, said today that the federal government had recognized some small and medium-sized businesses were falling through the cracks of government aid, especially in rural and remote communities.
