July 28, 2022

(Lheidli T’enneh First Nation / Prince George, B.C.) – Craft cannabis farmers, B.C. processors, independent retailers, nurseries, Indigenous governments and community leaders are invited to participate in a special economic development roundtable in Prince George, B.C. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 5:00 pm.

Co-hosted by the BC Craft Farmers Co-op (BCCFC) and Community Futures Prince George, the Roundtable will be an opportunity to discuss the significant job creation and economic development potential of B.C.’s globally-recognized craft cannabis sector for Northern B.C. and Indigenous communities.

Among other things, the meeting agenda will focus on opportunities associated with the B.C. government’s plan to establish direct cannabis sales, farm gate stores, and associated cannabis consumption locations across B.C. later this year.

More details of the Prince George Roundtable will be announced next week. In the meantime, save your seat by contacting info@bccraftfarmerscoop.com. Capacity will be limited.

This session is part of BCCFC’s roundtable series announced in April at the BC Cannabis Summit. Previous sessions on Vancouver Island and the Okanagan Valley have informed BCCFC’s ongoing advocacy, including recent submissions to the BC Liquor Distribution Branch regarding their Direct Delivery Program and to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food.
